I am thankful for my mother. She's the best one I know. There's not enough words to say how thankful we all are for her. In the lottery of parents, I surely hit the jackpot!

In the "lottery" of parents, I got a great Mom and a dud father (I was going to say Dad but while I call him that, he wasn't "Dad" he was a birthparent but NEVER a "father")... However, I am thankful that my Mom picked a great step-Dad...
I am also thankful that the birthparent appeared when I was older because it was what me realize what a "Father" -- a "Dad" -- really is and I could appreciate more the one who was.
I loved both of them and had things to truly love about the birthparent but I LOVED the man who was my Dad.
